High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. Whatacatch Dinner may sound tempting but the famous fish sandwich is also full of calories and unhealthy fat. This is the best sandwich place in the tech center. I eat here all the time, and his chef salad is amazing! Nothing pretentious about the food or atmosphere, just great food with amazing value. Copies of the menu can be found all over my office building because it is so popular.

Love this place! Quick and easy! Great menu selection and the food is always fresh and tastes yummy. Can be long lines at time but call a head orders are always welcomes and taken care of. I can just whisk in there and pick up and go. Everything from breakfast to lunch is sub-perb!

Holy Value Batman! Seriously - Thanks for Phil H for doing the research I apparently could never do the entire two year period my office was within walking distance of this joint and finding me the best sandwich deal in maybe the entire world. I six buck combo containing a 6 inch sub, a bag of chips and a giant Xing Sweet Tea? Get completely out of town. Dudes at this place are killer nice and they blew through the sandwich making in record time. Also the menu has like 75 choices of sammies, which should quell the hunger of most folks. This place is buried in a non-descript business building in the DTC and you'll miss it unless you hunt for it, but it's safe to say that you can just follow the sound of my evil-sounding, victory laugh to find it now. Primetime.

This place is a hidden gem. Dan is killing it. My colleague and I are having one new thing off his 66 item menu every week. Challenge Accepted.

Dan the owner and food preparer is awesome. He is always good for a quick conversation about anything while you wait. Also the food is really awesome and portions are bigger than what you pay for. I am a big fan of the breakfast burrito smothered in green chili and jalapeños.

Menu is a bit overwhelming b/c there are so many choices, so plan on looking at a menu before you roll up to order. I landed on a full size roast beef, turkey, ham, and it was HUGE. I only ate half of it and I'm 6-1 210lbs. Just what I was looking for in a close and value driven lunch option. I'll definitely be back. I only knock a star off because he wasn't using the panini grill or toaster he has right on the counter (they weren't even on) and opted for the microwave instead. Come on man, don't ruin that dagwood sandwich by skimping on the bread prep!

LOCATION: Address is actually the 5680 building, not 5660--and the place is in the basement, nearly impossible to find if you don't know to look for it there. I went, but there was a line and apparently only one worker actually making sandwiches, so after waiting 10 minutes with the line barely moving, I gave up. Which was a bummer, because I made quite an effort to find this place after discovering it in Yelp (after one too many crappy sammies from the places near my office). So this review does not offer any feedback on the quality of the food. I only wanted to post the comment about the location to help future Yelpers find the place, so they don't waste 15 minutes looking for it like I did. (And for that reason I selected the number of stars equal to the current average, so as not to skew the rating.)

Excellent selection, excellent food, excellent service. You can't get much better for a sandwich shop especially inside of a corporate building. So far I have had the turkey bacon sub along with the chicken salad sub. The chicken salad is exceptional and is made fresh daily. Definitely the best chicken salad I've had in quite some time. Prices are very reasonable and I will have no equivocation against going back again again or again.

So Good! I was happy to find an independent sandwich shop in our office park. I started the new job here and looked around for places to eat. What a sub showed up and had decent reviews so I thought I would check it out. The place is no-nonsense and affordable. the sandwiches are incredible!! lines can be long at times. but that is just an indicator of a great place to grab lunch. Not really a place for sit down, but there are tables.

This is a perfect example of why I love Yelp. How else local folks will have heard of this place, I don't know. Dan's very friendly, fantastic customer service. The bread tasted fresh and was much more substantial than your chain sub shops. He's got all sorts of breads, meats, cheeses, and can combine them into just about anything you want. He's gotta have at least 50 different subs, and they all sounded tasty. I had the #15 which was a sort of italian, and it was fantastic. Prices are extremely reasonable, and I will definitely be frequenting them often here at my new job in the tech center.

Just found this place in an office building after reading a review... I honestly feel like I'm giving away a trade secret or something! Seriously, this is exactly what I've been looking for in Colorado for 8 years... Coming from the East Coast (here we go, you're all thinking) we had cheap, fast, GOOD QUALITY, sub places EVERYWHERE. Here, they have all been replaced, either by upscale, overpriced, gourmet, imported, farm-to-table, chef prepared, blah blah blah places (that are fine for what they are sometimes, but just dont seem to curb the craving), or those chains that shall remain un-named, but probably use meat that came out of a vacuum sealed plastic bag... This place has all the key elements... Fresh sub rolls, stuffed FULL of any ingredients you want, a huge menu of sandwich options, oh and did I mention it's a deal? 6 dollars got me a sandwich that I could only eat half of, and just FYI, I'm 6ft tall, 200 lbs. I'm not a serial yelper, I've only created 2 reviews ever... 1 because I had the worst dining experience ever... and this time, I get to head in the opposite direction in reviewing a place that just blew my mind! My only concern regarding this place is having it so close to my office that I'm going to end up a complete fat-ass from eating their giant sandwiches every day lol!

Decided to check this place out for something different since it is close by. The owner is super nice. The place is a little dreary but I did not come for the atmosphere. I had a sub which was huge. Italian sausage with peppers and mushrooms. It was good, but I probably should have tried something else. It was a huge sub with chips and a drink for $7 plus tax. Seemed worth it. I will be back to try one of the cold subs next time. The breakfast stuff sounds good too. Worth checking out for the price and the quality seemed A-Ok to me.

This tiny little place is located inside one of the office and you pretty much have to hear about it from someone you work with. It's always pretty packed and there is always a line, so you do have to be patient, but it is worth the wait. the owner, Dan, is the only one who works there, so he's always super busy, but because he's the only one, he can keep his prices ridiculously low. Seriously. The smothered breakfast burrito with bacon that I bought this morning only cost me $3.50! And it's the size of an actual burrito. He makes all of the sammiches right there and he has one of the most varied ingredients list of any sub place I've ever seen. You can basically ask for anything on your sammich and you can get it. Don't be put off if he doesn't greet you right away, like I said he's always slammed. He is incredibly nice and remembers everyone that comes in there. If he has a free moment, he'll chat with you while he's making your food. This is a much better deal than going out for some greasy McSomething. This is a guy, making damned good sammiches and breakfast stuff and selling it for awesomely low prices. Cheers, Dan!

Calling all sammich lovers.....step right up, for the best bang for your buck in the DTC area. I used to work in the building right next to this sub shop and would occasionally stop by for a breakfast sandwich or a quick but filling lunch. First off, I must say, that Dan's breakfast sammiches are the best hangover cure out there. Greasy bacon (or sausage), eggs, cheese, and bread of your choice. This was the perfect 7am pick me up after a late night out on the town. No matter how crummy I felt after drinking too much the night before, after just half of one of these sandwiches, I was myself again. When it comes to lunch, be prepared to wait in line (since Dan is the only one working there). Believe me it is worth it. If you have some flexibility in your lunch schedule, try to go around 11 or around 2 and miss the lunch rush. I'm utterly amazed that this place is able to stay in business with the amount of meat you get on your sandwich for the extra low price. The last Reuben I ordered must have had at least 1 lb of meat on it!!! I kid you not. The BLT is the same way. No skimping on the meat here!! I miss this place, since its kind of far from where I spend my days now. Perhaps I'll make it back down there to visit Dan for old times sake!

Subway is much better. I think the reviews here and elsewhere are fake. My sandwich was disgusting and I regretted eating it for the rest of the afternoon. Nasty canned mushrooms, sticky boxed mozzarella cheese, microwaved not toasted sub, disintegrated wrapping paper in the sub, and nothing really in the shop seems fresh-made (lots of typical junk food). Ugh. Customer service was poor and kind of snotty too.

  • Daron S.

This is a great sub shop! Kelly T.'s review was spot on. I have been here a couple times and during the peak lunch hours you will wait, but it is worth it. I went once a little later in the afternoon (like around 2) and there was no wait whatsoever. Dan is very friendly and makes a mean sandwich! He makes the best blt that I have had at a sub shop. He is generous with the bacon and it was crispy and had great flavor. Not that microwave crap that is similar to the stuff at Subway,. Overall, one of the best sub shops in the Tech Center. Enjoy!
